Supersilent: Supersilent 9

Giunti al capitolo numero 9 della loro avventura, i Supersilent iniziano a mettere in difficoltà anche i loro fans più fiduciosi, come spesso succede con band come loro, che un po' ci sono [e quando ci sono ci sono ottimamente] e un po' ci fanno. Sebbene il packaging, austero come il solito, non lo dica espressamente, non c'è più il batterista Jarle Vespestad e quindi il trio rimanente [formato da Ståle Storløkken, Helge Sten e Arve Henriksen] ha ben pensato di immergersi in una sorta di viaggio psichedelico a bordo di ingombranti organi hammond.

Fantascientifico e criptico, supersilente e minimale, il disco è diviso in quattro parti cui si giunge al termine con una certa fatica, specialmente per una uniformità di fondo che azzera le inquiete increspature delle precedenti puntate.

Lasciarsi abbagliare? Lasciarsi cullare? Lasciarli affondare nella caligine riduzionista? A ciascuno la sua scelta. A noi sembra che quella capacità di tenere desta l'attenzione che caratterizzava i precedenti lavori [si veda l'ottimo 8 ad esempio] qui sia ai minimi termini. E non è solo questione di batteria...
