The threesome from London became a big name at (jazz) festivals thanks to their exciting ensemble playing, sometimes close-knit and sometimes disorienting, but always in balance.
'Directing, disrupting and bringing everything to a good conclusion. This is what Phronesis, founded by London-based, Danish-born bassist Jasper Hoiby has been doing since day one. The long blonde frontman plays his double bass intensely, as an archer, plucking the strings as if he's shooting arrows.
