Lucas Martinez

Lucas Martínez (Blanes, 1994) is a saxophonist and composer active between Spain and Mexico. Having performed in 27 countries and contributed to more than 50 recordings, he has established himself as an internationally active artist within the contemporary jazz scene. In 2025, he was recognized as Young Talent of the Year by the AMJM (Catalan Jazz Musicians Association).

For Martínez, the saxophone is more than an instrument—it is a medium to explore emotions and human connection, a voice of courage: to speak, to be heard, and to stand for one’s beliefs. His music balances lyricism with intensity, moving naturally between intimacy and openness. With four albums as a leader and two as a co-leader, he has developed a personal artistic language while remaining an active collaborator across a wide range of projects.

Stephen Emmer

Born: January 28, 1958

Stephen Emmer is an independent Dutch composer/arranger/artist hailing from Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He’s the son of former news anchorman Fred Emmer and ballet dancer/actress Roekie Aronds. 

He has recorded for and written, performed and collaborated with a variety of great artists such as Lou Reed, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, Leon Ware, Midge Ure, Julian Lennon, Glenn Gregory, Billy MacKenzie, Mary Griffin, Peter Coyle, Claudia Brucken and Martha Ladley to name but a few. On top of that he has worked with legendary producers like Tony Visconti, Flood, Trevor Horn, Steve Power, Martin Hannett, Nigel Gray and Bob Power.

Martí Mitjavila

Born: September 1, 2000

Martí Mitjavila, born in Barcelona in 2000, is a young jazz clarinetist and saxophonist currently based in Amsterdam. He began exploring jazz at an early age, inspired by his father's record collection. Martí holds a Bachelor and a Masters Degree from the Conservatory of Amsterdam. He has studied with renowned musicians such as Ben van Gelder, Simon Rigter, Joris Roelofs, Jasper Blom, George Coleman, Dick Oatts and Reggie Workman.

Throughout his career, Martí has performed across Europe at notable events, including the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, the Bimhuis Rough Diamonds Series, and jazz festivals in Breda, Heerde, and Vic.
