Jazz at Lincoln Center Announces 2009-2010 Season

Jazz at Lincoln Center and Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis, announced the 2009-10 season.

Programming featuring concerts, education events, broadcasts, touring and a line-up of guest music directors. This is the organizations 23rd season of programming and begins the sixth season in its home, Frederick P. Rose Hall.

Highlights of the season include the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra concerts featuring the music of Marsalis, J@LC Orchestra saxophonist Ted Nash and pianists including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Roberts and Mary Lou Williams and Ornette Coleman makes his Rose Theater debut.

JLCO series concerts featuring Geoffrey Keezer and Geri Allen, Jazz For Young People, the Essentially Ellington program; and a Fats Waller Festival that features Judy Carmichael, Andy Farber, Dick Hyman and Marcus Roberts
