About the Album

This is the first track on “1977: RETRO Trilogy EP” and the first of three EPs making up the RETRO Trilogy album project. Allison on “The Wind”: “Going back to my musical roots, this is a lilting jazz spin on a timeless 1970s tune by Cat Stevens. It is one of the songs my dad played on the guitar while we sang along when I was a kid. It renders memories of a pre-digital time where we played with neighbors on the street everyday until sunset, and listened to albums on the record player on Saturday nights, while we sang and danced around the living room.” Arrangement by Danny Green. Recorded at Sear Sound NYC under producer Matt Pierson. The official music video for this song was filmed on the Big Island of Hawaii with stunning footage of the Hawi Wind Farm, Kohala grasslands, and the Kona coastline.
