About the Album

Ingrid Jensen shows why she’s one of the most acclaimed and original trumpeters of our time with a special release that features Gary Versace (organ), Marvin Sewell (guitar), and Jon Wikan (drums), along with special guest 89-year-old George Coleman who joined the band to revisit his classic “Amsterdam After Dark.” The title track, one of several Jensen originals, finds the four masters conjuring up a new world of textures, colors and grooves. Jensen is truly a multitalented jazz wonder - she plays the trumpet like a boss, shines as a bandleader, writes outstanding tunes, and captures audiences with overflowing spirit and energy.
