Years ago, when I dabbled in cartooning, I developed a presentation style where the character on the left makes a statement with a speech balloon while the character on the right responds with a thought balloon—always in sharp contrast. I had a lot of fun with it.

Here, illustrator Keith Henry Brown and I collaborated on this speech / thought exchange.

Just in time for the holidays, ;-) we made the illustration available on a poster, a t-shirt, and a greeting card. Visit our Zazzle store if you're interested.

Keith Henry Brown's art can be seen on Jazz Appreciation Month posters as well as several Mack Avenue Records album covers. He is the illustrator of the children's picture book, Birth of The Cool: How Jazz Great Miles Davis Found His Sound, due out in April 2019.

Michael Ricci, a man of peculiar talents, resides here.
