Dado Moroni - Enrico Pieranunzi: Live Conversations
Un profluvio di note; si potrebbe definire così il loro incontro a due voci, ora documentato da questa incisione live per la Abeat Record. Anche qui la performance si sviluppa nel segno di una prova muscolare, in cui è più la tecnica che il cuore a prevalere. Cinque standard sono il terreno d’elezione di una scoppiettante tenzone pianistica, volta a stupire il pubblico con avvincenti raddoppiamenti di note ed armonie, per esaltare la maiuscola tecnica dei “contendenti”. Che fanno del concerto una frenetica corsa ad ostacoli, tra impervi cambiamenti di registro.
Ne discende un gustoso processo di interpolazione istantanea, digradante verso il repentino passaggio melodico. Con gustose divagazioni di tema, che fa affiorare dalle ballad “A Night In Tunisia”, fino ad arrivare a Parker e Monk. Più convincente è il loro (ri)delineare su basi diverse il sinuoso andamento di “All the Thing You Are”. Dove la cantabilità mediterranea fa riemergere il più genuino sentire musicale di Pieranunzi.
