Kaveh Rastegar: Light of Love
Chi ha amato l'approccio del gruppo nel quale ha suonato il basso elettrico fino a qualche mese fa, i Kneebody, non potrà che apprezzare la musica che l'album di Kaveh Rastegar ha racchiuso in Light of Love, opera dai profili poco definiti ma nella quale lo strumento a corde del musicista classe 1975 (alle spalle una serie pressoché infinita di esperienze musicali in studio e dal vivo) fa da collante a una collezione di brani molto eterogenea.

È un pop sofisticato, dalle sonorità ricercate, che mostra un po' ovunque tracce di quel jazz cosmopolita e contemporaneo che fra le correnti recenti sembra quella più in grado di flirtare con la vecchia forma canzone.

Un album di suoni elettrici, bassi sotterranei, voci femminili, melodie felpate che di Rastegar raccontano l'anima più personalmente pop. Molto differente da quella di sideman d'eccezione al fianco non solo di John Legend, Beck, Bruno Mars, MeShell NdegeOcello o De La Soul, ma del meno scontato dei frontman italiani immaginabili sul palco con uno strumentista come Kaveh (da una decina d'anni infatti Rastegar è bassista nella formazione che accompagna Luciano Ligabue in studio e dal vivo).

Una musica nuova, una trama sonora ampia e aperta, resa ancora più lucente grazie al coinvolgimento di un ricco gruppo di musicisti e amici capaci di comporre, tessera dopo tessera, il mosaico di un concetto esteso di canzone.
