Max Rocci / Amedeo Tommasi: Il mondo dei giovani vol. 4 / The Sound

Gli appassionati di rare grooves italici si leccheranno i baffi per due nuove ristampe dell'etichetta Arision, che riportano a galla dai mari pescosi del jazz italico degli anni Settanta due dischi godibilissimi e molto estivi.

Era il tempo in cui il pianoforte acustico e quello elettrico danzavano a braccetto [lo fece anche Bill Evans], il tempo dei giri di basso scuri e gommosi, delle percussioni latine e brasiliane, di vamp su cui scatenare la mano destra, dell'immancabile tre quarti, tempi di Punt&Mes e di Alberto Sordi che prende l'aereo, di temini da canticchiare al cocktail party.

Se questo scenario vi solletica, i nomi sono quelli del pianista Max Rocci, con il suo Il mondo dei giovani vol. 4 e di Amedeo Tommasi - tra i più noti specialisti degli ottantotto tasti, che molti ricorderanno accanto a Chet Baker nelle sedute del 1962 - con The Sound.

Più funkeggiante il disco di Rocci - con anche momenti decisamente riusciti e cinematografici come "Greenleaf Street" - più giocato sulla bossanova e ricco timbricamente quello di Tommasi, queste due ristampe ci risucchiano nel tempo, stanando in ciascuno quella nostalgia che si prova guardando i film in cui i pantaloni a zampa si muovono veloci sopra i marciapiedi delle Milano da bere.

Dicevamo delle differenze di sonorità: Tommasi, con l'utilizzo di vari strumenti a tastiera e con un ottimo intreccio tra trombone, flauto, chitarra a accarezzare i temi, coniuga le movenze della musica brasiliana con la malizia delle colonne sonore, ma non sarà difficile che una volta terminato il disco - breve come l'altro - vi scappi la tentazione di premere nuovamente play. Operazione nostalgia!
