Per cercare di orientarsi in questo mare magnum della creatività jazzistica, su All About Jazz di settimana in settimana abbiamo segnalato i dischi che ci sono sembrati meritevoli di attenzione... [clicca qui per la lista dei CD della settimana]. Un esercizio, per sua natura, assolutamente soggettivo, anche se indicativo dei nostri orientamenti.

E allora, per il gusto di ripercorrere i dodici mesi discografici del 2011, invece di accanirci nel vano tentativo di stabilire quale sia il 'CD del 2011,' abbiamo chiesto ai nostri redattori di condividere le playlist dei CD del 2011 che li hanno colpiti, sopresi, divertiti, stimolati, impressionati... Scelte, ancora una volta soggettive. Senza nessuna pretesa di assolutezza.

E così, neanche fosse stata studiata a tavolino per motivi editoriali, la lista dei dischi più apprezzati dai nostri redattori rispecchia un'equilibrata alternanza di dischi italiani e americani. Con Sorapis di Franco D'Andrea sugli scudi immediatamente avanti a Action Refraction di Ben Allison.
