Si annaspa tra grumi di suono cercando un respiro che, quando arriva salvifico, si trasforma in boccata d'ossigeno per una nuova inquietante immersione. Salvo chiudere i quasi sessanta minuti di oscurità timbrica, follie metriche, acrobazie armoniche, depistaggi continui, con "Sre Valli Devasenapathe," brano orecchiabilesi fa per dire, una sorta di danza liberatoria dal tono scanzonato e conciliante.
Gruppo eterogeneo per esperienza e provenienza geografica, Spinifex è una sorta di laboratorio permanentevi sono versioni più o meno allargate della bandnella sempre vivace scena di Amsterdam, della quale Hipsters Gone Ballistic risulta ritratto pulsante e sfaccettato.
