Uno dei primi esempi di world/music/jazz/fusion. Sorprendente.
06. Joe Lovano & Hank Jones - I'm All for You (Blue Note - 2002).
Dopo il loro concerto di Parigi ho finalmente visto Hank Jones ricevere i riconoscimenti che ha sempre meritato. All’età di 86 anni!
07. Alban Berg - Chamber Concerto - Daniel Barenboim/Pinhas Zuckerman (Deutsche Grammophon - 1978).
Stupendo disco di musica particolarmente difficile. Un disco essenziale per gli amanti della musica del XX secolo.
08. Edgar Varese - Ameriques - Pierre Boulez NY Philarmonic (Sony - 1977).
Un’altra composizione che bisogna ascoltare per credere che è stata scritta veramente!
09. Joao Gilberto - Mi Historia (Polygram - 1997).
A fronte degli orrendi arrangiamenti di Clare Fischer, Joao Gilberto rimane il riferimento principale nella Bossa Nova.
10. Frank Sinatra - With the Red Norvo Quintet (Capitol - 1959).
Uno dei piaceri nel jazz è ascoltare Sinatra cantare e swingare, per una volta, con una piccola formazione.
