Special Jazz Duo: Dream Dancing

Dopo diverse collaborazioni in formazioni allargate (ad esempio nel disco Standard Xfor4Four, Luigi Ferrara e Moreno D'Onofrio si propongono stavolta in duo, puntando sul suono e sull'interplay per reinterpretare con leggerezza e calore una serie di standard, ai quali si aggiungono tre composizioni originali.

Ferrara alterna due strumenti molto diversi, l'armonica a bocca al pianoforte, che permettono di variare continuamente il colore delle diverse tracce, mentre D'Onofrio cesella con cura alla chitarra. C'è molta intimità e sensibilità nello scavo che i due effettuano sulle composizioni, che è più profondo quando è di scena il piano e più luminoso quando è il turno dell'armonica.

Ne viene fuori un lungo lavoro (quasi un ora e un quarto), tradizionale e molto sobrio, di immediato appeal e facile fruibilità, ma che si può anche ascoltare a più livelli, andando a cogliere le particolarità degli scambi dialogici e delle variazioni armoniche.
