Xavier Charles - Otomo Yoshihide: Difference Between the Two Clocks
I due scelgono di escludere dalla loro esplorazione un beat esplicito, o le violente escursioni di massa sonora cui Otomo ci ha abituati in molti progetti, preferendo dilatare la materia con approccio quasi "ambient," che sfuma tinte soniche della stessa natura in un tessuto ricchissimo di dettagli.
Difference Between the Two Clocks, richiede all'ascoltatore attenzione e voglia di diventare quasi parte di questo respiro minimale eppure ricchissimo, costruendo istante dopo istante una disciplina dell'udire che schiude spiragli percettivi laddove non se ne aspettano, trattenendo le esplosioni, lasciandole scorrere come plasma caldissimo sui polsi.
Ottimo, anche se non per tutte le orecchie.
