Fischermanns Orchestra: Conducting Sessions

Attiva a Lucerna dal 2007, la Fischermanns Orchestra evidenzia di primo acchito un approccio decisamente free al linguaggio per grande organico, pur nel rispetto di un tangibilissimo disegno architettonico-strutturale. Tutto ciò spicca in particolare nel trittico di brani che apre il CD, ma si sviluppa poi anche lungo tutt'altre coordinate. Per esempio abbandonando l'opulenza, la pienezza, il "tiro" (come si dice) degli episodi di cui sopra per abbracciare un rumorismo non sempre del tutto a fuoco, anche se magari funzionale al contesto, come in "Animals," ma in parte nello stesso "Invasion," per il resto di una matrice sostanzialmente free-funk che si allarga di fatto - però più a macchie - al successivo "Bella".

Giocato per lo più sull'emissione del suono, in qualche modo propedeutico quanto esteticamente efficace, "Horizonte" è un altro dei momenti di punta del lavoro, così come - dopo il non trascendentale, un po' futilmente latineggiante, "Fliessband" - "Bermuda Dreieck," sorta di nuvola sonora di commiato.

Disco vivace, mai tedioso o supino, cui non sarebbe al limite nuociuta una maggior chiarezza d'intenti complessiva.
