The best of 2025 and new releases. Pure Fusion and Jazz Rock with The Outernet from Melbourne, to Japan's dynamic Jizue, this collection brings together an exceptional lineup of global talent. LA-based guitarist Max Walker and New York drummer Varun Das deliver precision and power with fine jazz-rock interplay, joined by Nashville's Mr. Mayo for a touch of Southern sophistication. The Haas Company features the virtuosic Frank Gambale on guitar, while Finland's Grand Discovery teams up with Brazilian guitarist Andre Nieri to create a seamless blend of Nordic flair and Latin fire. Eastern and Indian textures shine through Garaj Mahal's latest work, contrasted beautifully with Sweden's BEQ, channeling the soulful energy of 1970s and 1980s jazz fusion. From Argentina, Commodore delivers rich, melodic fusion, while bass phenomenon Mohini Dey and MaMogi continue to redefine low-end artistry. Australian guitarist Josh Meader and his trio add a vibrant, contemporary edge to the mix. Recent 2025 highlights include bassist Evan Marien, the funky grooves of the Gudics Twins, and Spanish bassist Vincen Garcia. Rounding out the roster are bass virtuosos Alberto Rigoni (Italy), Michael Manring, and Stuart Hamm, each pushing the boundaries of the instrument. The journey concludes with Japanese keyboardist Ryosuke Kojima and baritone guitar master Mark Lettieri, performing alongside the WDR Big Band-a powerful finale to an eclectic, international showcase of fusion brilliance.
