La scommessa di questo bell'album di Simone Guiducci, uscito in occasione del centenario della nascita di Django Reinhardt, è dichiaratamente quella di mettere in luce la verve compositiva del chitarrista gitano invece che puntare le luci del proscenio sulla sua prodigiosa abilità tecnica come chitarrista. On first listening to Storie di fiume(River Tales), Simone Guiducci's Gramelot Ensemble's fourth recording, one wonders whether this is folk music colored by jazz, or jazz music influenced by folk.
