Nicola Piras guida da tempo l'Orchestra Jazz di Cagliari, un importante laboratorio musicale, ma su questo disco pubblicato dalla Splasc(H) Records ha preferito una dimensione piú ristretta, e cioè quella del classico quartetto jazz. Si tratta di una prova riuscita, grazie sia all'eloquio del leader, un solista sulla scia di altri sassofonisti coltraniani, sia alle sue composizioni, rispettose dell'idioma jazzistico ma con una interessante vena melodica, tutta mediterranea.
