Nacka Forum: We Are The World
We Are the World si rivela un'incalzante sequenza di libera improvvisazione e cantabilità, quieti, sognanti paesaggi sonori e riff assassini, fanfare neworleansiane e sofisticate sovrapposizioni timbriche, energia rock e creatività jazz. Sorprende di Nacka Forum la potenza espressiva, la capacità di espandere i limiti del quartetto fino a trasformarlo in una sorta di orchestra a geometria variabile in grado di adattarsi alle diverse situazioni ed entrare in sintonia con le differenti strategie compositive. Ricchezza espressiva favorita dalla poliedricità dei musicisti -ciascuno di loro suona svariati strumenti-da una fantasiosa creatività e da una coesione affinata in tre lustri di percorso comune.
Splendida la rilettura di "Magwaza," storico brano del contrabbassista sudafricano Johnny Dyani, ciliegina sulla torta di un album vivamente consigliato.
