Read "Traveling (Part 2)" reviewed by Ludovico Granvassu

Jazz and Travel... what a natural fit! In this installment of Mondo Jazz we continue exploring music that was inspired by the relentless travels that jazz musicians have to endure in order to share their music with their audiences, their departures and arrivals, their discoveries, adventures and misadventures using trains and planes and the ...

Nacka Forum: We Are The World

Read "We Are The World" reviewed by Vincenzo Roggero

Read "We Are The World" reviewed by Mark Corroto

Doom and gloom begone, now for some serious fun. Nacka Forum is back with their fifth recording. Read "The Half Naked Truth 1998-2008" reviewed by Mark Corroto

Sometimes self indulgence is worth it. It is not decadence or overt extravagance for the Jonas Kullhammar Quartet to release an eight-CD boxset on the tenth anniversary of their association. Jonas Kullhammar/Goran Kajfes/Johan Berthling/Kjell Nordeson: Nacka Forum

Read "Nacka Forum" reviewed by Farrell Lowe

While a far cry from recent work by Norah Jones, this recording was nominated for a Swedish Grammy, which sheds some light on the differences between American and Swedish tastes. By now most folks know the sweet pop-inflected jazz style of Jones, but probably most have little knowledge of one of her Swedish counterparts.

All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
