Fennesz - Brandlmayr - Dafeldecker: Till the World's Blown Up and a New One Is Created

A raccontarne la genesi e il procedimento, questa collaborazione tra gli austriaci Christian Fennesz, Martin Brandlmayr e Werner Dafeldecker [già frequentemente incrociatisi in passato, ad esempio negli splendidi Polwechsel] potrebbe sembrare come un progetto sfizioso e secondario: la voluta episodicità del tutto, con i frammenti improvvisati dai singoli musicisti che vengono riprocessati dai medesimi e poi assemblati in una composizione dal respiro più ampio, è in realtà l'opportunità per condividere un lavoro stratificato che mette a fuoco con grande precisione le idee originarie.

Till the World's Blown Up and a New One Is Created presenta in un minidisco i tre frammenti "Tau", "Jets" e "Me Son", mentre in un altro troviamo il lavoro completo: la personalità dei tre musicisti [Fennesz a chitarre e elettronica, Dafeldecker a contrabbasso e elettronica e Brandlmayr alle percussioni] viene così sbriciolata in tante molecole che si sanno ricomporre con insospettabile flessibilità, a volte amniotiche, altre volte spettrali, dolcissime e corrosive al tempo stesso.

Colpisce soprattutto il respiro che emerge dall'esito più ampio, un respiro fatto di particelle che rotolano secondo microarchitetture che si fanno comprendere poco a poco, ambientazioni deformate dalla stessa percezione, fino alla creazione di un mondo nuovo, quello del titolo, che sembra fragilmente disfarsi di nuovo a un nuovo soffio. Ed è bello così.
