Con una simile tavolozza espressiva a disposizione [oltre al soprano di Parker troviamo nella sezione fiati Peter Evans alla tromba, Ko Ishikawa allo sho, Ned Rothenberg a clarinetti e shakuhachi, agli archi il violino di Philip Wachsmann e il contrabbasso di Barry Guy, il piano di Agustì Fernandez, le percussioni di Paul Lytton e una schiera di manipolatori elettronici che comprende Lawrence Casserley e Joel Ryan, Walter Prati e Marco Vecchi, Richard Barrett e Paul Obermayer] è facile intuire quanto si amplino le possibilità e il musicista inglese utilizza praticamente l'intera lunghezza del disco per dipanarne alcune nella suite che dà il titolo al lavoro, The Moment's Energy.

L'esito è un affresco potente e sfaccettato, fatto di respiri alieni e di alienazioni che respirano, da cui farsi travolgere oppure da lasciare da parte fino a che non viene la voglia o la curiosità di ascoltarlo da capo a fondo, perché è nelle intercapedini tra i suoni - da rimarcare tra l'altro la splendida prova di tutti gli strumentisti, in particolare il sempre eccellente Fernandez - che si annidano le sfumature più interessanti.
Un altro tassello per un progetto importante.
