Sundad: The Journey Continues
Restano, tuttavia, tutte le nostre perplessità su una musica spesso strutturalmente molto semplice (giusto un paio di accordi, sfondo / pretesto per vorticose scorribande di note), dal sound talmente patinato ed ammiccante da conseguire l'effetto opposto e diventare (almeno per chi vi scrive) quasi fastidioso.
Nell'ambito del virtuosismo chitarristico che fa l'occhiolino all'ascoltatore, il punto di riferimento assoluto è ancora oggi, a nostro avviso, quel Friday Night in San Francisco che ha segnato generazioni di chitarristi. Lì però, oltre all'ammicco, c'era anche un elevato contenuto musicale. Qui, invece, si fatica ad andare oltre la routine.
