Meet Catya Maré: Catya Maré is a critically acclaimed, multiple award winning composer, violinist, and music producer from Denmark who is now living in Los Angeles, California.

Nominated for the Hollywood Music Award in November 2008, winner of the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in February 2009. Nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media Award 2009.

...I was born.

Your sound and approach to music:

The violin is my voice...when I create music on my violin I "sing" it, not "play" it...

Road story: Your best or worst experience:

...having to color my violin silver when doing a music video in front of the pyramids in Cairo, Egypt....

What do you think is the most important thing you are contributing musically?

My music is uplifting, sensual and spiritual, and guides the listener to places he / she'd never want to come back from...
