David Floodstrand

As a club DJ of over 20 years, I have been introduced to so much great music. On this site however I think my primary foucus will be Jazz oriented vocals. My taste is pretty ecclectic. I love Sinatra, I grew up on Chet Baker, Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross, Charlie Parker, Bill Evans, and modern classical composers like Stravinsky, Debussey, Copeland, and Bartok. But, my work as a Club DJ brought me in contact with Chicago House music legends like Vince Lawrence, and Frankie Knuckles. Industrial music groups like, Ministry, Front242, My Life with The Thrill Kill Kult, many of which I knew quite well and worked with in a professional capacity

Grace Chung

Born: March 28, 1971

Originally from Hong Kong, Grace Chung first began singing jazz more than ten years ago in Sydney Australia, where she grew up. Since then, she has led her own trios and performed with big bands in Sydney, Hong Kong, New York, Boston and Washington DC. After some years with her trio on the Sydney jazz scene, she started a residency at the Swing Jazz Club in Hong Kong, summer of 1997. This led to a series of shows at the Conrad Hotel, Hong Kong, winter 1997. Meanwhile, Grace started graduate school at MIT, and along with Tien-yi Lee, co-founded WhoSheBe, an all female jazz combo. WhoSheBe featured New England bassist Jane Wang and the now Tokyo sensation Akiko Iwase

Deborah J. Carter

Vocalist Deborah J. Carter was born in the U.S.A. and grew up in Hawaii and Japan. She travels extensively performing in jazz festivals, jazz clubs, seminars, and radio and TV shows through Europe and Asia with her trio or as a guest with various formations; from solo pianists to large orchestras. While on tour, she has also given master classes, often sponsored by US embassies all over the world. This vocalist / composer / arranger definitely brings her multi - cultural experiences into her music. Pamela Rose

Born: June 28, 1956

Pamela Rose is a San Francisco jazz and blues vocalist who has thrilled audiences locally and internationally with her swinging, soulful style. Rose is that rare breed of entertainer who connects solidly with her audience by always delivering a personal and unforgettable musical experience. Her rich, warm voice and easy rapport with excellent musicians moves jazz and blues audiences of all ages.

Originally from Southern California, Rose attended UC Berkeley and quickly met up with Hammond B-3 organist Merl Saunders, who took her on tour in 1977. This experience helped to define the strong passions that keep music fresh for Pamela today: writing and developing songs which are personal to her, a strong love for improvisation and spontaneity that comes with performing live, and a crazy adoration for the soulful sounds of Hammond B-3 organ.

Jeannette Lambert

Born: June 15

Inspired by her jazz-loving parents and childhood addresses that spanned the globe, Ms. Lambert began singing professionally in coffee shops at the age of 12. Mentored by veterans of the Montreal jazz scene, including trumpeter Herbie Spanier, and influenced by the diverse vocal traditions of flamenco, fado, and jaipong, she grew up playing in professional jam sessions with visiting artists such as vocalist Jon Hendricks. She would go on to further refine her musical style studying with vocalist Jay Clayton, the legendary Cecil Taylor and others at the Banff Jazz Workshop

Wendolina

Wendy was born to sing - and like a bird, she came by it naturally. Surrounded by three musical older sisters it's no wonder that she began singing melodies at the age of seventeen months. By age three, she landed her first stage role as Gretl Von Trapp in a production of The Sound of Music. Wendy's early melodies expanded to harmonies and during the next twenty years she performed with her sisters. Their collective blend and tight harmonies impressed audiences everywhere they appeared. Their first concert tour to Mexico was such a success that they were invited back to Puerto Vallarta and a second concert was added in Guadalajara
