Lupa

Lupa: singer song-writer, producer, arranger, band leader and founder of indie label Lupamusic. Lupa, Italian-born/raised in Milan now resident in the UK, begun her artistic career at the age of three with classical piano lessons and modeling for the house of 'VOGUE Children' magazine in Milan. She studied the Dramatic Arts in Italy (training with popular and controversial theatrical duo FRANCA RAME and winner of the 1997 Nobel Prize in Literature DARIO FO') and in England where she obtained L.A.M.D.A (London Academy Of Music & Dramatic Arts) acting qualifications. Lupa pursued the acting vocation on the British stages and screens being featured in various independent stage productions and short films

Born: April 17, 1980

Just when you think that Brazil must surely have exhausted its supply of irresistibly jazzy, funky, sexy, soulful electro-pop singer-songwriters, someone like CéU comes along and makes you think that maybe that particular well is bottomless after all. Her full name is Maria do Céu Whitaker Poças, but she goes by the simpler moniker CéU. It's a name that can be translated into English in a couple of subtly but significantly different ways. CéU means either "sky" or "heaven," depending on context, and either translation applies quite nicely in this case: think of her as "Sky" when you hear the soft blue clarity of her voice, or "Heaven" when one of her sweetly bubbling melodic hooks takes you by surprise and makes you shiver with delight

Peter Eldridge

Mr. Eldridge continues to draw on his many-faceted talent as he pursues an eclectic mix of activities, including composing, performing, arranging, recording, as well as teaching (Manhattan School of Music, jazz voice faculty since 1993)

Harvey Thompson

Harvey Thompson, jazz vocalist, was born in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. After years of appearances in talent shows and local jazz joints and performances at Japanese concert halls and swank Turkish night spots, the Japan-based and world-traveling Thompson can rightfully be called a versatile master of jazz vocals. His first CD, entitled "Jazz Is (Anything You Want It to Be)," is a fine example of his polished vocal skill. With help from some of Detroit's top jazz musicians, such as trumpeter Marcus Belgrave and Straight Ahead's lead singer Cynthia Dewberry, Harvey shines on this CD, which continues to receive regular radio airplay.

The Cunninghams

After playing alto saxophone and a variety of percussion instruments, Don Cunningham (b. 14 January 1931, St Louis, Missouri, USA), spent time in the US Army where he played in military bands. After army service, he joined the orchestra for the touring Johnny Mathis show as percussionist. After a few years he decided to form his own group, a quartet, in which he also began to feature his singing. The quartet played mostly in and around St. Louis but in the early 70s he moved to Los Angeles where he met and married a young vocalist.
