Tito Puente, Fabian, Leslie Gore, Jock Bartley (Firefall), Fred Wesley (James Brown Band), Jim Salestrum (Dolly Parton's Band), Claire Fisher, Soloman Burk, Maggie Carlis (Cuba), Zephyr, Rombert Egues (former musical director for Arturo Sandoval), The Platters, The Coasters, Bernard Villa, and Nazara Perra. In concert, Steve has opened for: Fats Domino, Dr. John, Albert King, Jay Leno, Miami Sound Machine, Eberneser Oby (Nigeria), Coco Taylor, Otis Day and the Nights (Animal House Band), The Beach Boys, The Village People, and Little Richard. Chosen as an "Outstanding Soloist" at the Wichita Jazz Festival, Steve has also performed at: Red Rocks Amphitheater, Rainbow Music Hall, Boettcher Concert Hall, The Paramount Theatre, The Boulder Theatre, The Fox Theatre, The Bluebird Theatre, The Paradise (Aspen), and McNichols Sports Arena. When not in the United States, Steve performs in Paris at Aux Trois Malliettz 56 Rue Galland

Erskine Hawkins

Jazz trumpeter, Erskine Hawkins, was born in Birmingham, Alabama July 26, 1914. A talented high-note trumpeter and a popular bandleader, Erskine Hawkins was nicknamed "The 20th Century Gabriel." He learned drums and trombone before switching to trumpet when he was 13, and was one of five inaugural inductees into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame in 1978. He also became on of the principal influences on a young rhythm and blues piano player named Ray Charles. While attending the Alabama State Teachers College, he became the leader of the college band, the Bama State Collegians. They went to New York in 1934, became the Erskine Hawkins Orchestra, started making records in 1936 and by 1938 were quite successful

Jon-Erik Kellso

Born:

Trumpeter Jon-Erik Kellso started playing professionally in and around Detroit, Michigan where he was born in 1964. Jon began early, playing in a big band at age 11, in the International Youth Symphony at age 13, and in a concert alongside cornetist Wild Bill Davison at age 17. Kellso played with a wide variety of groups there, including the J.C. Heard Orchestra. In '88 Jon-Erik joined James Dapogny's Chicago Jazz Band with whom he's made appearances throughout North America, concertized on PBS TV, and recorded extensively. Since moving to New York City in 1989 to join Vince Giordano's Nighthawks, Jon has enjoyed performing and recording with the likes of Ralph Sutton, Dan Barrett, Howard Alden, Marty Grosz, Milt Hinton, Bob Haggart, Dick Hyman, Linda Ronstadt, Leon Redbone, Levon Helm, Wynton Marsalis, Wycliffe Gordon, Ken Peplowski, Bob Wilbur, and Kenny Davern. Recent engagements include a week at Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis' Louis Armstrong Continuum; various appearances on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" live Public Radio International show, including a live cinecast to movie theaters everywhere with Elvis Costello; several jazz fest at sea cruises; concerts at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Emiliano Torres moved to miami at the age of 8 and has established himself in the music scene since High School playing with different local bands in Miami. Since then he has been recording and performing with artists such as Rabanes, Locos por Juana, Javier Garcia, La Ley, Control Machete, La Secta, Don Dinero, Johnny Dread, Oscar D' Leon, and Jorge Moreno. Emiliano currently has his own project "Xperimento" in which he has performed at the Urban Latino Event and the Latin Funk Fest

Jeff Kaiser (born December 26, 1961) has played professionally with many different groups and individuals on television, film, radio, and in concert halls throughout the United States. He is the recipient of numerous grants, honors and awards. He is a thirteen-time recipient of the Individual Artist Fellowship from the City of Ventura and a three-time recipient of the Forum of the Arts Grant administered by the Ventura County Museum of History and Art. He has received critical praise in numerous publications throughout the world. In addition to composing, he is well known in creative music circles as a trumpet player, performing with Eugene Chadbourne, The Michael Vlatkovich Brass Trio, Brad Dutz, The Motor Totemist Guild, Headless Household, The Vinny Golia Large Ensemble, Dan Plonsey and the Human Behavio Orchestra, The Los Angeles Trumpet Quartet, The Kreative Orchestra of Los Angeles, as well as his own ensembles including his large group: The Jeff Kaiser Ockodektet
