Carol Morgan

Carol Morgan is a jazz trumpeter, composer, educator and author who resides in NYC. Originally from Texas, she is a Juilliard graduate who has worked with many remarkable teachers including Chris Gekker, Mark Gould, Ingrid Jensen, and Dennis Dotson. Carol's discography includes five CD's as a leader. Retroactive (2013) includes many of her original compositions and features Mike Stern and Chris Cortez among a cast of New York and Houston musicians. A 2011 release, The Carol Morgan Quartet CD, Blue Glass Music received 4 1/2 stars in a DownBeat magazine review. The Carol Morgan Trio CD, Opening, with Harvie S and Rich DeRosa was signed by Blue Bamboo Music and released in early 2010

Chris Pasin
Chris Pasin, a graduate of the New England Conservatory, spent two years playing with the Buddy Rich band in the early 80’s, touring with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, and many others.Then he relocated to New York City. Much of the next decade was spent playing jazz with various groups, including the Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabackin big band. There was also work with Jack McDuff, many Salsa and Brazilian bands, and various other jazz ensembles, including the Lee Shaw quintet in recent years. Recently, he released the CDs “Detour Ahead," and "Random Acts of Kindness," comprised largely of his own diverse compositions, and has a new release, “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” of reimagined holiday music, to critical acclaim, and his recent album “Ornettiquette.” Chris is now playing jazz frequently with various musicians in and around the New York area, writing music to record for several current projects, curating a weekly jazz series, and recently appeared on Pete Levin’s new album Mobius, Scott Petito’s new album Rainbow Gravity

Tatum Greenblatt

TATUM GREENBLATT
Tatum Greenblatt has established himself as one of the most
in-demand trumpet players on New York City's music scene.
Named by Wynton Marsalis as one of his favorite "up-and-
coming trumpet players," Greenblatt has performed with
Marsalis, as well as with Joe Lovano, Jazz at Lincoln Center
Orchestra, The Mingus Legacy Bands, Maria Schneider, India
Arie, George Gruntz, Donny McCaslin, David Berger,
Christian McBride, Jimmy Cobb, Jeremy Pelt, Sara Gazarek,
Reggie Workman, George Garzone and the Duke Ellington
Orchestra, among many others. After earning his Master's
Degree from The Juilliard School, Tatum can now be heard
performing all over the world with The Richard Bona Group,
and frequently around New York City with The Mingus Big
Band, Orrin Evans’ Captain Black Big Band, Fat Cat Big Band,
and Pedro Giraudo Jazz Orchestra. In May 2011 at the
request of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Greenblatt formed and led
the Essentially Ellington All-Stars Band performing to sold-out
audiences at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola. His upcoming album,
Imprints, his third as a leader, is slated for release October
2011.

Rayse Biggs
Rayse is an accomplished musician with deep roots. He was born on May 7 in Detroit, Michigan to Willie and Thelma Biggs the third of five children. He was educated in the Detroit Public School System, attending Chadsey High School. He majored in music at Oakland University in Michigan. Being a performer has always been in his blood. He was frequently called upon at family gatherings to entertain them by dancing and performing skits. Rayse is actually quite a jokester. I studied music at Berklee, N.E.C. and Indian music at Wesleyan. Been in and out of many bands. Latest incarnation is my group "Travelin' Light," with me on trumpet, valve trombone and vocals, along with 2 other vocalists. We do original arrangements of standards, jazz tunes and vocalese for which I write lyrics. Another part of me plays and has always played free music, with my main collaborator being guitarist Keith Crook. Kenny Warren
Kenny Warren (b. Denver, Colorado, 1984), is an American trumpeter and composer. He began studying jazz trumpet at the age of 9, and moved to New York in 2002 to attend the Jazz Conservatory at SUNY Purchase. He has been living in Brooklyn since 2006. Kenny leads or co-leads the groups “But the Monster is Sick” (with Owen Stewart-Robertson, Dan Peck, and Devin Gray); Laila and Smitty (with Jeremiah Lockwood, Myk Freedman, Josh Meyers, and Carlo Costa); NOOK (with J.P. Schlegelmilch, Jeremy Viner, James Windsor-Wells, and Ben Gallina); Hala Hala (with J.P. Schlegelmilch, Greg Chudzick, and Jeff Davis); Trio (with Will McEvoy, and Flin Van Hemmen)
