Chris Klaxton

New England native, Chris Klaxton, has developed a reputation as a gifted multi-instrumentalist, an imaginative composer, and an effective educator. With degrees in both classical and jazz trumpet, Klaxton has received a rich and varied education, studying with: Brian Lynch, Terence Blanchard, Jason Carder, Dr. Robert Stibler, Stephen Guerra, Whit Sidener, and Gary Lindsay.

Perhaps the most significant musical relationship of Klaxton’s career is that with famed trumpeter, Clark Terry. Years of study, several years as valet / travel manager, and more than a decade of friendship with Clark, has left Chris saturated with lessons and anecdotes (musical and otherwise). Chris is proud to pass on a repertoire unique to Clark, a system of phrasing and rhythmic pronunciation, and a means of conveyance handed down directly from one of the founding fathers of the music.

John Montesante

Born: June 5, 1950

John Montesante's first musical passion is Jazz and he freelanced as a Jazz Trumpet early in his professional career in the late 1960s. As he didn't fit the Trad-Dixie mould of that time, and was always told he was "too modern", he diversified across genres - big bands, show & TV orchestras and soul music - in order to remain in employment as a professional artist. He came to national attention in Australia as a singular Jazz musician, composer and arranger in his late 20s, when he returned to tertiary jazz and music studies, including taking master-classes with American jazz greats

Anthony Stanco

Anthony Stanco is a trumpeter, composer, bandleader, and educator from Southeast Michigan. A product of Detroit's rich musical heritage, Stanco spent his early years studying under such local heroes as Marcus Belgrave and Rodney Whitaker. He enrolled in the Manhattan School of Music to continue his education with world-famous brass pedagogue Laurie Frink before returning to Michigan State University for his master's degree in 2014. While completing his education, he won the International Trumpet Guild's 2013 Jazz Competition. Its music evolves out of improvisations which are reassembled into structured pieces with an unexpectedly cinematic sweep, like journeys through slowly- changing landscapes. Noah Hocker

Noah Hocker was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He attributes his early interest in music to his Mom, who is a singer and flutist. Noah has always been a lover of various kinds of music but became enthralled with jazz because of its freedom and range of expression. He couldn't get enough of jazz and improvisation so he joined several of the reputable youth programs in Portland such as: the American Music Program, The Alan Jones Academy of Music, and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony. Noah went on to study music at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he received a Masters degree in Jazz Performance, and studied privately with acclaimed performer and teacher Terell Stafford. Benje Daneman

Born: August 28, 1984

New York City based trumpeter, Benje Daneman, was inspired at a young age by the stories of songwriters of all genres from folk to rock to pop. After falling in love with the world of jazz as a teen, it began to become very clear that his initial musical upbringing had merged with his newfound passion – setting the stage for a deep desire and pursuit to create clear stories and emotions through his music as a performer and composer. Norwegian—born musician and composer Yngvil is a spirited, multi-talented stage performer and band leader.
