Allison Philips is a Brooklyn-based trumpet player, composer, and educator. Philips is a trumpet player’s trumpet player. From the traditional trio setting to genre-bending explorations via electronics, Allison is always searching for new ground. 

Jazz Scene has called The Allison Philips Trio “an invigorating list​en that probes, as Ornette Coleman did, the line between song and sonic exploration.” The group released their first EP in 2017 and  released their first album “Placement and Longing” in 2021. Philips also co-leads the “DeiCont | Philips Collective”  a group which Hot House Magazine has called “one of the most exciting emerging groups in NY”

Daniel D Alcantara

Born: October, 1974

Bacharel em Trompete pela Universidade de São Paulo (ECA-USP), iniciou seus estudos musicais com seu pai, o trompetista Magno D’Alcântara. Atualmente leciona na Escola de Música do Estado de São Paulo - Tom Jobim (EMESP), Faculdade Souza Lima/Berklee. É integrante da "Soundscape Big Band Jazz", grupo com o qual gravou três Cds ("Maybe September", "Uncle Charles" e "Cores Vol.1"). Desde 2009 é trompetista solista da "Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo". Como professor, lecionou em importantes eventos musicais, incluindo o Festival de Inverno de Campos do Jordão (2000), Curso de Verão de Brasília , Festival de Inverno deTatuí/SP, Oficina de Música de Curitiba, Festival Choro e Jazz de Jericoacoara-CE

Paul Williamson

Trumpeter, composer, educator, and researcher Dr Paul Williamson has established a reputation for producing distinctive recordings of outstanding ensemble performances. As a leader, he’s released 12 CD’s and has performed with international jazz artists at festivals and venues in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. His has performed with many jazz greats, including Carla Bley, Eddie Palmieri, Tomasz Stańko, Charlie Haden, Ralph Alessi, Kenny Werner, John Abercrombie, Hermeto Pascoal, Aaron Goldberg, Django Bates, Mike Nock, Tony Gould, Nasheet Waits, Mark Helias and Linda Oh

Glenn Robertson

Glenn Robertson was a founder member of the band Airborne and was lead vocalist for the Tony Schilder Trio, for a season, at the Sherwood or better known as Club Montreal in Manenberg. His musical influences come largely from the music of Al Jarreau, Nat King Cole, Jimmy Messina and his musical leaning is definitely toward Latin Jazz.

Nathan Breedlove

Born: June 17, 1956

Nathan Breedlove - leader of The nu Trio, is a twice Grammy-nominated® trumpeter and composer. Born a military brat in Fort Lewis, WA., his musical heritage began in Memphis, TN. At the age of ten he started classical piano lessons and harmony studies under Mrs Elmira L. Cole (also taught Booker T. of the MG’s). Began playing trumpet by age eleven and in high school he was the featured trumpet soloist with the ‘Norseman Jazz Ensemble’ from Hillcrest H.S. in Memphis. His band won the prestigious Mobile National High School Jazz Festival competition, making them the top high school jazz band in America

Laura Jurd

Laura Jurd is a trumpet player, composer and improviser from the UK. A recipient of multiple awards and a BBC New Generation Artist from 2015-2017, Laura has developed a formidable reputation as one of the most distinctive and creative composer-performers to emerge from the UK in recent years.

Performing regularly throughout the UK and Europe, she leads the 2017 Mercury-nominated band Dinosaur who have performed at North Sea, Montreal and Molde International Jazz festivals to name a few. A highly active composer, Laura's is equally at home writing for contemporary chamber groups and orchestras as she is writing for jazz ensembles and improvising musicians

Jacques Kuba Seguin

Adventurous and multi-talented, trumpeter Jacques Kuba Séguin is a composer for groups of various formats: Odd Lot, Litania Projekt, or quintet, as for Migrations, his new album to be released in 2019. Séguin's musical repertoire is by turns melodic, explosive, and accessible. As a performer, he is definitely a showman, and he is recognized as one of the most brilliant trumpeters of his generation. A winner of the 2012-13 Radio-Canada Revelations prize, Séguin is more and more present on the Quebec stage. In 2015, he was nominated for ADISQ awards in two categories: best arranger and jazz album of the year for L'élévation du point de chute and, in 2016, for Litania Projekt with the Quatuor Bozzini in the same two categories

Lesedi Ntsane

Lesedi Ntsane is a South African-born Trumpet player who was introduced to the cornet whilst at the Salvation Army Church, where he later learned to play. Lesedi was born into a musical family, with a singing Mother, a Father who had spent some time with Trumpet, and a Grandfather was the Director of one South Africa’s classic Musical unit, The Merrymaker’s Orchestra. Lesedi spent his entire High School career playing for the Springs Boys High School Brass Band, winning national Marching Band Competitions for Five consecutive years. He later enrolled at the M.C. Art Academy at the South African State Theatre and later enrolled at Tshwane University of Technology under the mentorship of Bernt Baumann, John Davies, and Kevin Davidson
