Stafford Hunter

5x-Grammy nominated trombonist & sea shells player (and sometimes vocalist) is a Philadelphia native (born in Atlantic City, NJ). He became a professional musician at the age of 16. And, was an award winner of the "Al Grey Award for Musical Excellence"; acknowledging Stafford as "the Most Promising Jazz Trombone Talent". Graduate of the New School Jazz & Contemporary Music Program (NYC). Of which, he was the first trombonist to graduate from the New School Jazz Program. 30 years working musician on the NYC jazz scene.
Beside music, Stafford appeared as a model in the December 1992 issue of L'Uomo Vogue (the Italian Vogue magazine for men). This issue also featured jazz greats like Milt Hinton, Clark Terry, Louie Bellson, etc... And, he appeared in a documentary film on the late-great pianist; Dorothy Donegan. Also, he was an actor in a movie entitled "the Day the Ponies Come Back" which was released March of 2001 in France. And, he appeared in a diet Coke television commercial which featured the great Elton John.

Erik Johannessen

Erik Johannessen was born July 22th 1975 in Oslo, Norway. Grew up on Lambertseter in the suburbs. Started playing trombone at eight and piano at ten, and decided early to be a musician. Started playing jazz at sixteen, and played in his early twenties in bands like [Soundslashnoise] and The Beauties & The Beast with norwegian pop star Bertine Zetlitz. Soon he joined the Norwegian/Polish collaboration Loud Jazz Band and toured Poland many times, and has to date released five CDs. Studied music at high school at Foss (1991-1994), and studied at University of Oslo with a degree in music (1995- 1996) and literature (1996-1997), went on to study jazz at the conservatory of Trondheim (2001-2005), with trombone teacher Helge Førde and other teachers like John Pål Inderberg, Erling Aksdal and m.m. Started there playing in bands like Big Spirit People, Happy House, and Magic Pocket. Joined Trondheim Jazz Orchestra for a number of projects with soloists and composers like Eirik Hegdal, Maria Kannegård, Joshua Redman, Terje Rypdal, Bednik Hofseth, Jon Balke, Kobert m.m. He got the JazZtipendiat award (2009) with the brass quartet Magic Pocket and composed music and played at Molde International Jazz Festival 2010 with Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, which resulted in the CD Kinetic Music(2011). Magic Pocket has also released the CD Katabatic Wind (2011). Moved back to Oslo starts playing in Jaga Jazzist in 2005 (still going) touring Europe a number of times

Aidan Chamberlain

Aidan has performed with many British orchestras. In London he has worked with the London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Philharmonia and BBC Symphony Orchestra. He regularly appeared with the BBC Concert Ochestra which broadcasts the popular Friday Night is Music Night programme on BBC Radio 2. Outside of London he has performed with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras. Aboad, Aidan has worked with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra in New York and the Dusseldorf Symphoniker. Wayne Travillion

Wayne Travillion comes from musical family, his father a church organist and pianist, his sister a piano performance graduate of the University of Oregon. In fifth grade Wayne into started trombone. It was a natural for him. Whenever home alone, he would put on old 78 rpm records of Sousa Marches or Monte Ballou’s Castle Jazz Band and play along with the records, over and over. In high school he joined a Dixieland band called the Caldonians, named after the Louis Jordan hit, Caldonia . They became popular around the area and several of the group continued playing together on into college

Rick Davies

Originally from Albuquerque, NM, Rick Davies moved to New York City in the late 1970s and worked there a musician for more than twenty years before joining the faculty at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2000. Davies has primarily focused his creative efforts in the areas of salsa, Latin jazz, and Afro-Caribbean music. On the salsa, Afro-Caribbean, and Latin jazz scenes, he has performed with many artists and groups (Tito Puente, Johnny Colon, Charlie Palmieri, Marc Anthony, Skah Shah, Ti Manno, Tabou Combo, Arrow, Rey Reyes, Johnny Ray, Manny Oquendo’s Libre, etc.) and recorded on over one hundred albums

Terry Hsieh is a senior double degree student in Jazz trombone and East Asian Studies at Oberlin College and Oberlin Conservatory, who hails from a diverse range of teachers and styles. As a trombonist, he began studying under Duke University Professor of Jazz and Bass Player John V. Brown. He currently studies with Robin Eubanks. As a classical pianist, Hsieh has won several titles including high scores at the North Carolina Music Teacher’s Association Festival, 1st place in the NCMTA’s Composition Category, and Honorable Mentions at the Loren Withers Piano competition. In 2006 and 2007, Hsieh was chosen to play lead trombone at the University of Carolina at Greensboro’s Honors High School Jazz clinic, under the tutelage of bassist Steve Haines
