Born: July 15, 1976

Tim Daisy is a Chicago-based drummer, composer, and educator renowned for his contributions to both improvised and composed music. Since landing in Chicago in 1997, he has actively engaged with the city’s vibrant creative music scene, performing, recording, and touring with numerous esteemed musicians and ensembles.

Primarily self-taught on drums, marimba, and vibraphone, Daisy has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Ken Vandermark, Jeb Bishop, Fred Lonberg-Holm, James Falzone, Dave Rempis, Steve Swell, Jamie Branch, John Tchicai, Mars Williams, Joe McPhee, Katherine Young, Michael Zerang, and Frank Rosaly. ​
