Brian Kane

Born: March 22, 1972

Brian Kane is perhaps the busiest jazz musician in New England performing in excess of 300 live private concerts each year featuring his vocals, saxophone, and renown storytelling and history of Great American Songbook.  He is the author of five books for music educators, dozens of published articles, and has been featured in magazines like Saxophone Journal, Choral Educator, Jazz Educators Journal, Music Teacher International, and Jazz Ed. He is a veteran performer with over 3000 gigs as a top contract sideman and over 2000 as a leader.

Eli Hershiser

Born: January 3, 1995

An emerging virtuoso on the New York City scene, Eli Hershiser is a saxophonist, composer, and educator whose sound is a refreshing take on the jazz tradition. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Eli began playing the saxophone at the age of 10. His early influences included Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Joshua Redman, and John Coltrane. Eli earned his BFA in Saxophone Performance at The New School where he was mentored by Dave Glasser, Chris Byars, Marc Mommaas and many more. His vast musical interests have led him to experimental collaborative projects such as the New York Jazz Workshop (NYJW) Saxophone Quartet- a contemporary ensemble led by Marc Mommaas. The group released their first album in the fall of 2021, featuring jazz, classical and contemporary arrangements.

Richard Davies

Born: March 27, 1974

Richard Davies is a saxophonist, multi‑instrumentalist, and producer based in Chichester, UK. His music sits at the crossroads of jazz, ambient, and electronic composition, weaving together expressive saxophone phrasing, hypnotic loops, and cinematic textures. Drawing inspiration from late‑night jazz clubs, surreal storytelling, and the atmospheric worlds of ambient music, Davies creates soundscapes that feel both emotionally grounded and quietly mythic.

Over the years, he has collaborated with a range of experimental and electronic artists, including Andrew Spackman, expanding his sonic palette and deepening his interest in cross‑genre exploration. His work is known for its understated modern aesthetic, emotional resonance, and a sense of narrative that unfolds without words.

Roy Futaba

  Roy Futaba (Formerly, Ryoju F) is a Japanese saxophonist, instructor based in New York City. Born in Kyoto, Japan, he started learning piano from an early age. As he discovered the saxophone in his school activity in his early teens, encountered Jazz music (cool and hard bop Jazz) simultaneously. He started learning Jazz music vigorously, and was instructed by Yoshiyuki Yamanaka Jazz Academie.

It was recorded in Finlandstudio by analogue vintage gear expert Jacob Worm who is responsible for the warmth and depth in the sound. Notice the fifty years old plate reverb on the horns.

The music of Regnfang is all about emotion, moods and impressions. Critics have described their music as daydreaming, minimalistic and melancholic and they have been compared to other danish artists such as Bremer/McCoy and Svaneborg Kardyb. Regnfang’s songs are frequently played on danish national radio DR p8 jazz.

Cecilie Grundt

Born: July 13, 1991

Cecilie Grundt has performed and recorded with artists such as Vigleik Storaas, Knut Riisnæs, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra & Come Shine, Nils-Olav Johansen, Benny Bennack III, Bjørn Vidar Solli, ØyvindLAND, Cosmic Swing Orchestra and Alternatilla All Woman Jazz Band. As a solo leader, she has toured extensively in Europe and released four solo albums 'Contemporary Old School' (2019), 'Order and Chaos' (2020), 'Cecilie Grundt & Vigleik Storaas' (2022) and 'Live At Dokkhuset' (2024) to critical acclaim. On October 18, 2024, she will release her fifth album, 'Illuminate'.

Borys Janczarski

Born: March 23, 1974

Born in Warsaw, Poland. Started playing saxophone in high school (American School of Warsaw), also graduated in international and European law at Paris I University (Pantheon-Sorbonne - MD). While in France, studied jazz with French saxophone players Jean Francois Bonnel, Olivier Temime, Eric Barret and Lionel Belmondo. After his return to Poland, studied music on his own and with an amazing polish trumpet player, composer and jazz educator Piotr Wojtasik. Since 2002 a member of bands led by the legendary polish drummer - Kazimierz Jonkisz. Jacob Chung

Born: April 29, 2000

Jazz saxophonist Jacob Chung moved from Toronto to New York City in 2022 to study with Vincent Herring, whose advocacy for Jacob’s musical potential led to a record deal for Jacob’s sophomore album The Sage (2024) with the Cellar Music Group label. Featuring both Herring and drummer Joe Farnsworth, The Sage was named one of the best Canadian jazz releases of 2024 (Peter Hum, Ottawa Citizen), building on the momentum of Jacob’s 2022 debut album Epistle which was received with critical acclaim for its embodiment of the spirit of jazz; “A bunch of swingers that know the history without the baggage, they zip the ears open with a delightful sound that uplifts while it makes you smile” (Chris Spector, Midwest Record).
