Anna Rejda

Polish jazz vocalist, songwriter and improviser, Anna Rejda’s music features a sensual timbre of voice, impeccable phrasing and atmospheric sounds featuring instrumental arrangements.
Rejda played the accordion and French horn as a child, but decided that playing in a symphony orchestra was not her vocation. Studying the horn at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, she was quickly appreciated for her natural vocal talent and passion for jazz, which she uses in her cooperation with Aleksander Mazur's Big Band and The Sound Office quartet.

The inspiration for DIVA came from Stanley Kay, one-time manager and relief drummer for Buddy Rich. In 1990, Kay was conducting a band in which Sherrie Maricle was playing the drums. Stanley immediately picked up on her extraordinary talent and began to wonder if there were other women players who could perform at the same level. The search was on and through nationwide auditions, the foundation for DIVA was poured in 1992 and what emerged is the dynamic musical force that holds forth to the present day. Wowing audiences on saxophone, clarinet, and flute, Seth has made a name for himself in the Washington/Baltimore region, and beyond. He is the featured performer with The Kleztet, Bay Jazz& Project, Music Pilgrim Trio, The Natty Beaux, and more. Winner of 28 Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies), including "Best World Music Instrumentalist" (2003-11) and "Best Jazz Instrumentalist" (2005, 2007-8, 2011-14). His most recent recording, "Clown With A Stick," was released in May 2023 on the Azalea City Recordings record label. He's won numerous prizes in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (MASC) including the Grand Prize in 2016 and a Gold Prize in 2022.

Arturo has played with the likes of Chema Saiz, Juan Camacho (CD La estrategia del tiempo, 2008; CD Artesanía popular, 2016), Sebastián Chames, Angel Rubio, and Inoidel González, as well as with various musicians from the American continent (Riner Scivally, Margaret Stowe, Virginia Ramírez, Brenda Hopkins, Paul Brewer, and Juliet Annerino, with whom he played in New York). He has also contributed original compositions for the jazz fusion band Tet-Quart (CD Silencio, 2010) and his Arturo Mora Group (EP Sign of the Future, 2014).

Jamie Brownfield, 23, hails from the village of Llanrhaeadr Y.M. in Mid Wales. He started on the cornet aged 9 playing in the local brass band and by the time he was 12 was performing jazz in public, guesting wherever he could at local jazz clubs. In 2005, when Jamie was 13, he formed his first band 'The JB Quintet' and the following year recorded his first CD 'No Animals Were Harmed......' Jamie has been playing professionally now for many years and is available for any event or session work, playing all styles of jazz from New Orleans to Bebop! Jamie was awarded 1st place in the 'Rising Star' category of the 2012 British Jazz Awards Recordings No Animals Were Harmed.....
