I am also a musician and singer in different constellations such as: FCOC (electric guitar), BAD LIVER (vocals, guitar, banjo and piano), THE STRING THEORY (acoustic and electric guitar), MISOK (string instruments and electronics), REKON (acoustic and electric guitar). I give lectures in the art of listening and how to cope with sounds in daily life.

Guitarist/improviser and audio engineer from Baltimore based in Malmö. With a heavy emphasis on free improv, rock, noise and free jazz, he has performed in the U.S.A. and Europe and has collaborated and improvised with Brandon Lopez, Jarrett Gilgore, Anders Lindsjö, Wendel Patrick, Ole Mofjell, Jaimie Branch, Ian McColm, Amirtha Kidambi, Dave Treut, Anais Blondet, Jason Nazary, Sam Weinberg, Andrew Smiley, Luke Stewart, Zach Rowden, Kurt Kotheimer, Sam Ospovat, Chris Pistiokios, Nick Jozwiak, Ola Rubin and Anders Uddeskog. Projects include Loplop, The Invisible Party, Pantagruelian Quintet, Swedish Fix, Lipscomb Quartet, Whoarfrost, Reina Terror, Windhorse, Start Again Ensemble, ad hoc and solo improvisation.

Beloveds is a cabaret, a burial ground, a circus, a lullaby.
Beloveds is an ensemble that started in 2016 In Gothenburg, Sweden. Composer and singer Channa Riedel uses poetry in order to create music that is intimate, rugged and beautiful. They find inspiration from music such as Liberation Music Orchestra, Victor Jara, Hanns Eisler as well as Swedish and Jewish folk songs. Lyrics are by Palestinian, Swedish, American and Russian poets such as Vladimir Mayakovsky, Juliana Spahr, Stig Dagerman and Channa Riedel.
In October 2019 debut album "Så tar natten dig åter" was released on Swedish indie label Abrovinsch Records. The music is a bittersweet mixture of jazz, folksongs, cabaret and progg (Swedish left-wing and anti-commercial musical movement from the 60s and 70s).

Channa Riedel

Channa Riedel is a writer, poet and musician. She recently graduated from the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg and the debut album of her band Beloveds was released in 2019. This year she will begin a master’s in Literary Composition at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, and is currently working on her first collection of poems. Jakob Norgren

Jakob Norgren is a Swedish saxophonist, composer, arranger and big band leader. Main instruments are baritone sax, tenor sax, clarinet, bass clarinet and contra alto clarinet. He started his orchestra, initially named Jakob Norgren Big Band Splash, in 2004 and first released two albums that mixed contemporary jazz with soul/R&B. From 2010 Jakob let the band develop into a pure soul-jazz/R&B orchestra under the shortened name Big Band Splash, while introducing Jakob Norgren Jazz Orchestra (with almost the same members) where he could refine his contemporary jazz writing. Drummer and composer Martina Almgren is described as a colourful addition to the contemporary Swedish jazz scene. Her passion for playful improvisation, enticing rhythms and expressive melodies reflects her drumming as well as her compositions.
