Germana Stella La Sorsa

Italian singer Germana Stella La Sorsa started performing in Italy at an early age, working her way up through the Italian jazz scene (ultimately performing at the side of jazz guitar giant Franco Cerri) and on moving to the UK in 2017, quickly established herself on the London jazz scene.
"Nudging boundaries as she goes” (The Slow Music Movement) and exploring “the crossroads of many musical components, including story, composition, genre and style as well as instrumentation and effect” (London Jazz News), La Sorsa released her debut album 'Vapour' in 2021 on 33 Jazz Records.

Monday Michiru

Monday Michiru (full name: Monday Michiru Mariano), so named to reflect her Japanese, Italian and American heritage, is also the genesis of renowned jazz musicians, NEA Jazz Master Toshiko Akiyoshi and cult jazz saxophonist Charlie Mariano, as well as jazz saxophonist-flutist Lew Tabackin who helped raise her. While she showed natural talent playing flute from a young age, studying classically at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy on scholarship, her inspiration in music caught fire with singing, composition and music production. In 1987, Monday was scouted by Japanese movie director, Shinji Somai, to debut in the lead role as an opera singer in his movie “Hikaru Onna” (“Luminous Woman”)

A native of Southern California, Ava Lemert was submerged in music from birth having a Mother and two elder sisters who were active musicians in the household to influence her. So, it was no surprise that by age 7, Ava was producing her own “radio programs” including her own DJ personna “Kay Kay Dee Jay” on her own cassette tape recorder. At age 11 Ava was writing music notation and submitting her compositions for voice, clarinet (her first school-taught instrument) and guitar to youth talent shows.
