Sérgio Tavares

Sérgio Tavares is a musician from Porto. Holds a degree in jazz double bass and a master's degree in Music Education (developing and explore improvisation whith ensembles) from ESMAE (Porto, Portugal). He also participated in several workshops and masterclasses with jazz musicians such as Ron Carter, Eddie Gomez, Drew Gress, Hein van de Geyn, Bojan Z, Zeena Parkins, Evan Parker, among many others. He has developed several improvised music / jazz projects, multidisciplinary collaborations with artists from diverse areas such as video, theatre and poetry. Develops pedagogical activity as a teacher of double bass and improvisation
