Pongsakorn Lertvanitsutha

“Win” Pongsakorn Lertvanitsutha is a trumpet player, composer and arranger was born in 1991 at Bangkok, Thailand. Currently lives and works in Bangkok and Graz. He started playing trumpet at age of 11. In 2010, he was admitted to Jazz Faculty to study Trumpet Performance at “College of Music, Mahidol University” and in 2014 he graduated Bachelor of Music with first Honor. In 2015, he continued to study Trumpet Performance in Bachelor of Arts with Prof. Jim Rotondi at University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Austria. In June 2017, he graduated his second Bachelor of Arts and continue to study Trumpet Performance in Master of Arts. He got chosen as a representative of the University to join IASJ meeting (International Association of Schools of Jazz) in Siena, Italy.
In September 2017, Pongsakorn won a first prize with the name of “Win Pongsakorn’s European Quintet” at the Žilina International Jazz Competition which entitled them to perform in the Winner’s Concert in Bratislava jazz festival in Žilina, Slovakia. Currently he is working on various projects of his own quintet to compose and arrange for perform and touring around european and Thailand. Over many years he had the chance to work and perform with many artists and bands from all over the world: Siam Jazz Orchestra, KUG Jazz Orchestra, Jim Rotondi, Alex Sipiagin, Ray Anderson, Sheila Jordan, Randy Brecker, Bobby Shew, Ed Neumeister, Renato Chico, Ed Partyka, Joe Lovano, Steve Davis.
