Life and times of Blues Guitarist Melvin Taylor Melvin Taylor was born in 1959 in Jackson, Mississippi. His musical roots however have always been in Chicago, where he moved with his music-loving, guitar playing family when he was just three years old. Melvin started playing guitar himself at a very young age and was inspired and influenced by some of the world's greatest blues players - many of whom lived in or near his Chicago neighborhood. By the time he was a teenager, Melvin's incredible ability and unique style was already grabbing attention on Maxwell Street. And indeed when Joe Willie Pinetop' Perkins needed a great guitarist to play his European tour, he invited Melvin to join the Legendary Blues Band

This collection of Standards originally appeared on the old MP3.com website, where it received over 15,000 plays. The trio on this CD was my working band that had been together for over 9 years. With the exception of "My Bohemian Legacy", my other CD's consist of all original pieces. I sometimes perform on the African thumb piano. "Pieces of the TRANS-World Suite" is a solo CD of my music performed on a variety of these instruments. My latest project is my collaboration with bob Lepre. I perform on a Circuit Bent SK1 Keyboard and he plays electronic percussion

Raine-Reusch has spent over thirty years exploring the relationship of music to psychology, philosophy, and spiritual or religious practices. He studied at the Creative Music Studio in the 70's with artists such as Fred Rzewski, Jack Dejohnette and Karl Berger, before going overseas to study with master musicians in Australia, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Burma and the Philippines, as well as with "National Treasures" in Korea and Japan

Chairman/CEO of Tenacious Records, composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist and actor ALPHONSE MOUZON has been composing and producing beautiful music that has captivated and enthralled audiences throughout the world for over two decades. ALPHONSE MOUZON (who is an African American mixed with French and Blackfoot Indian) was born on November 21st in Charleston, South Carolina. He attended Bonds-Wilson High School where he received his early musical training from 9th grade through the 12th grade. Mao Soné

Born: June 10, 1991

Mao Soné is a multi-award-winning trumpeter, a pianist, and a composer based in Tokyo. He recently appears, as in the leading role, on the Kevin Hæfelin's film, TRUMPET, which has received awards from internationally recognized film festivals, including the Best Short Audience Award at the 42nd Max Ophüls Preis, the Best Short Comedy Award and Ambassador Award at Rhode Island International Film Festival, and the Audience Award at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia. Now, Mao mainly works on his music with his acoustic trio, his electric quartet "Brightness of the Lives", which will release the new CD album in January 2022, Mao received a full scholarship at Berklee College Of Music in 2010

A live instrumentalist and producer, Statik Link intricately blurs the line of Jazz, Funk, and Soul while remaining true to his own raw, uncut, gritty sound. Statik Link’s style has been compared to a mixture of artists such as Robert Glasper, J Dilla, Miles Davis, BadBadNotGood, and Kanye West.

Originally making his debut as an electronic dance producer, Statik Link switched to his current funk/soul/jazz based style in 2016. His music has been heard at festivals like Governors Ball in NYC, 808 Fest in Atlanta, EDC, and has been featured on Fox’s TV show So You Think You Can Dance, Sway In The Morning, Diplo and Friends, DASH Radio, Power 105 and more.

Warren Galea

Born: April 1, 1991

Warren Galea is a guitarist, pianist, and composer from Malta. His third and latest album - Meditations, a collection of solo guitar improvisations recorded across a period of around one year, was released in August 2023. 

In 2019 he became the first Maltese artist to perform at the iconic Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. Other international performances have included Nublu 151, ShapeShifter Lab, Rockwood Music Hall and the Bitter End (NYC), the Honey Hive Gallery (San Francisco), the Octopus Literary Salon (Oakland), the Jazz Educators Network Conference (JEN) 2019 in Reno, Nevada; the Malta Jazz Festival, the Dusseldorf Jazz Rally, Europe Day Festival (Vienna), Teatro Adriano (Cagliari, Sardegna) and 'Les Sons d' Une Ile’ (Paris).
