Alfred Sergel IV

Drummer and composer, Alfred Sergel IV, has shared the stage with Grammy award winning artists and recorded on numerous Billboard charting albums.

The energy and excitement Sergel has brought to audiences worldwide supporting other artists, he now brings to support his own original music which fuses pop melodic undertones within a modern jazz context.

Sergel's single "Y Closed" grabbed the attention of NPR Music and his latest release "Sleepless Journey", a 6-track album, was the #1 most added album on the NACC jazz charts.

Performing regularly with his own band, Sergel also performs with Jason Upton, Noel Freidline, Maria Howell and Chad Lawson

Claudio Rubio

Born: February 22, 1976

Claudio Rubio is a saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator from Santiago, Chile. Recived his education at William Paterson University prestigious jazz program from which he graduated Summa Cum Laude. While in USA he got to learn from jazz legends such as Rich Perry, Dave Liebman, Barry Harris, Steve LaSpina, Jim McNeely amongst others. Upon his gradtuation Claudio went back to Santiago to become a referential voice in the local scene as a frecuent colloaborator of Quintessence Ensamble -earning a Pulsar Price for the album "Décimo"- Christian Galvez, Francesca Ancarola among other fundamental figures of the Chilean Jazz Scene

Yulia Musayelyan

Yulia Musayelyan is a flutist and composer born in Moscow, Russia, now based in the US. A versatile performer in classical and jazz idioms, she is the founder of the YM Quartet, Macayú Trio, Tango Meets Jazz project, and New Music Collective, dedicated to the performance of new original chamber music. Yulia has toured the US, UK, Europe, Central and South America with various musical projects. A recipient of the 2001 NFAA Award, she was a soloist with TACTUS Contemporary Ensemble in 2005 with guest conductor maestro Pierre Boulez. Her chamber works have been premiered at Symphony Space in New York City and featured in the 2006 film Natalie Bonn

Sophia Smith

The Sophia Smith Quartet combines a mixture of traditional jazz elements with original modern jazz compositions. Sophia’s compositions create a unique blend of memorable melodies, lush harmony and improvisation, inspired by the compositions of Kenny Garrett, Chris Potter and Pat Metheny. Max Plattner

Born: September 18, 1994

Max Plattner, born in Innsbruck in 1994, is a Vienna-based drummer, composer, and producer. He has made a name for himself through his creative versatility and innovative musical work, which is at the interface of jazz, improvised music, new music, and electronic influences.

He received a sound musical education at a young age and has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships. In 2012, he won the "Young Masters Scholarship" at the Outreach Festival in Schwaz, followed by the "Marianne Mendt Award" in 2013. From 2013 onward, he studied jazz drums at the ABPU in Linz, specializing in media composition and computer music. During his studies, he was taught by renowned drummers such as Herbert Pirker and Jeff Boudreaux and graduated with distinction in 2020.

Denin Slage-Koch

Born: January 12, 1996

Having been praised as possessing “pristine playing, meticulous composing” and “a very personal voice deserving of attention,” award-winning guitarist, composer, and educator Denin Slage-Koch has done a lot. He’s played and recorded with artists like Ryan Keberle, Shane Endsley, Carmen Bradford, Clay Jenkins, Brad Goode, Wycliffe Gordon, and the Colorado Symphony, written music for artists like Melissa Aldana and Carmen Bradford, recorded three albums of original music and served as sideman for many more, published a book, and is a full-time member of the jazz faculty at the University of Tennessee Knoxville - and he’s not even 30 years old yet. Put simply, he is one of the most exciting and unique rising musicians on the scene today.

Candice Tugby

Born: August 23, 1995

Candice Tugby is a Jazz musician, composer, arranger, and educator from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Candice graduated with a Bachelor of Jazz (Trumpet) Degree from the University of Manitoba's Desautels Faculty of Music's Jazz Studies Program where she has had the opportunity to study with Derrick Gardner, Steve Kirby, Quincy Davis, Jon Gordon, Larry Roy, Will Bonness, and Anna-Lisa Kirby. She has performed at local venues such as the Lyric Theatre, CCFM, The Berney Theatre, Sam's Place, Joe Black's Coffee Shop, Resto Gare, The King's Head Pub, The Orbit Room, and The Palm Lounge where she has had the opportunity to perform with many talented local and international musicians. More recently, Candice played in New York City at several different venues including with the Anna-Lisa Kirby quintet at Small's Jazz Club and Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks at The Iguana. Candice is in the process of creating content for an album to be released in the near future.

Geoff Mason

Born: May 30, 1968

Geoff runs his own jazz quintet with pianist John Horler which has played most of the jazz festivals and clubs in the UK their two Cds have featured on BBC radio 2’s “The Best of Jazz”.He is a member of RMG Collective a Modern/Latin group with Jonathan Gee ,Steve Rubie and Winston Clifford. He has played at the Ronnie Scotts, the 606 Club,The Pizza Express jazz club Dean Street, Cork Jazz Festival, Ealing jazz Festival,and has worked with many top jazz stars including visiting Americans Scott Hamilton ,Greg Abarte & Daryl Sherman and UK musicians Steve Waterman ,Henry Lowther, Derek Nash, Steve Fishwick and Dave O’Higgins

Joris Teepe

Born: November 27, 1962

Bassist Joris Teepe (1962) is the first jazz musician from The Netherlands to be able to make it in New York. Arriving in New York in 1992 with just his bass and a suitcase, he took lessons with Ron Carter, quickly met many musicians and started to work a lot. A year later he recorded his first CD, with a band co-led by Don Braden and featuring Cyrus Chestnut, Carl Allen and Tom Harrell. From that point everything really took off for Joris and he became a bassist in great demand. He has been working with the "who-is-who in Jazz", such as Benny Golson, Sonny Fortune, Rashied Ali, Billy Hart and Randy Brecker
