Mo and Dawn the Remix Project

The collaboration between trumpeter, singer/songwriter Dawn Weber and pianist and bandleader Mo Egeston spanned 1997- 2008. The result was a remarkably consistent string of successful bands including Vargas Swing, Vargas, and from 2000-2005 the pioneering live house band Urban Jazz Naturals. Eclipsing the national rep acquired by Vargas Swing, UJN’s run was the most successful project for the duo. UJN released a debut EP followed by two singles in the DJ driven dance market. These releases, How Can I (Gallery) with a remix by JT Donaldson and the Urban Jazz EP with a remix by Demarkus Lewis (Large Music), were both written by mo&dawn with production by UJN members Christian Oncken and Don Tinsely
