Mark Johnston

Mark Johnston is a 20 year old music degree student, studying at Queens University in Belfast. He has been playing jazz for around four years and has had opportunities to work as a student with musicians such as Tina May, Martin Williams and Paul Eshelby. Mark currently plays and composes in a variety of jazz settings and he is one third of 'The New Trio', with Alan Niblock on double bass and David Lyttle on drums. This exciting new trio plays a mix of original music and standards and regularly performs with guest soloists such as the leading young saxophonist Dave Howell.
