Mark Aanderud. Pianist, composer. Considered as one of the most important and original musicians emerged from Mexico. Son of a pianist and conductor, Mark started his studies at the National School of Music in Mexico City at the age of eight. Not only a jazz pianist, but a classical, and composer, has studied with his father, with Nestor Castaneda, Jean Baptiste Muller, Ninowska Fernandez, at the SIM (School for improvised music, NY), Uri Caine, Bill Carrothers, Enrique Neri, and composition with Arturo Marquez. Mark was awarded as best jazz musician and best jazz CD at the Chec Music Awards of 2003, 2004
