Man Overboard

Man Overboard brings together five like-minded musicians who play and listen to all sorts of music, but who share a love of hot swing. He also is a dab hand at jazz, and his playing meets its match in the lyrical clarinet-playing of Ewan Bleach, who has been making his mark on the music scenes of London and New Orleans. Thomas and Ewan work the tunes beautifully together, sometimes harmonising, sometimes challenging each other. Surely, it's all just a wonderful dream? Nope, it isn't. It's Down In The Deep, Deep Blue, album number two from ...

Thankfully, the musicians just got on with it. In at least ten cases, they ...

Read "All Hands On Deck" reviewed by Bruce Lindsay

Swing. But which swing? According to London-based quintet Man Overboard, debut album All Hands On Deck is full of “Hot Vintage Swing." According to Duke Ellington, it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. Which begs the crucial question, does Man Overboard have that swing?Man Overboard (not to be confused with ...

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
