Louis Martinez

A guitarist and composer with rare sensitivity, Louis Martinez expresses himself through his instrument and touches the listener with his musical honesty. He began playing the guitar at a very young age (classical guitar at the Conservatory and self-taught jazz). This passion has never left him. Holder of a CA Jazz Hors Classe, he taught and led harmony and improvisation workshops at the Sète Conservatory for 33 years. He regularly leads workshops and masterclasses in France and abroad: Belgium, Corsica, Mexico, and notably in partnership with guitarist Sylvain Luc. He is the author of several books published by Henry Lemoine (Guitar Improvisation in 4 volumes, arrangements of 12 tracks from Claude Nougaro's repertoire in the Guitare solo collection)
