Jeremy Udden

Long-time member of the Grammy nominated Either/Orchestra ({{Matt Wilson = 11447}}, {{John Mediski}} and {{Miguel Zenon = 15015}} among other alumni), Udden recorded three albums with the band and toured Europe, Africa, and around the US a number of times. Twenty records to his credit as a sideman (Accurate, CIMP, Creative Nation Music, Fresh Sound New Talent, Innova) with projects in the jazz, avante-garde, rock, pop, and world music genres, has helped give his music a "wealth of texture and invention" (Terrell Kent Holmes, All About Jazz).
A Boston native and Brooklyn resident, Udden performs his Torchsongs project frequently around New York, the Northeast, and in the past year the West Coast, China, and Scandinavia

by Maurice Hogue
This episode evokes special memories of my first exposure to the Art Ensemble of Chicago many years ago. I was left in awe at the spectacle, let alone the originality and power of the music. We Are on the Edge: A 50th Anniversary Celebration, the new release from Pi Recordings brings that concert and much more ...
Frank Carlberg Large Ensemble: Monk Dreams, Hallucinations And Nightmares

by Angelo Leonardi

John McNeil: Hush Point III

by Budd Kopman
Trumpeter John McNeil is a real trooper, battling and overcoming much physical adversity, but nevertheless engaging in long-term projects such as the group Hush Point. Joined by saxophonist Jeremy Udden, with Aryeh Kobrinsky on bass and Anthony Pinciotti on drums, McNeil's somewhat idiosyncratic sense of humor (musical and otherwise) is on display, as is his desire ...
