Blue Rainbow

The project was born in March 2020, during the lockdown period, from an idea of three musicians from the Marche region: Pierfrancesco Ceregioli (piano and keyboards), Tonino Monachesi (guitars, bass and flute) and Roberto Bisello (drums). The trio's mission is to embark on a new artistic path where distance is not an obstacle to creativity, stimulated by the challenge of recreating interplay in an unnatural situation such as distance. Knowledge and conscious use of technology is therefore a fundamental professional requirement for the contemporary artist. The idea is to recreate, despite the objective difficulties, an open ensemble thanks to the communicative, technical and expressive potential that the new technological means make available. The name of the project comes from the mixture of all these uniqueness: the presence of several artists, the blue intended as a primary color of the rainbow that mixes with the others in infinite shades of styles and sensations, the blue of the variable pitch notes of the blues (blue note), the main theme of the record work, re-proposed in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Larry Wolf

Veteran singer and character actor Lawrence (Larry) Wolf was born in New York City, studied acting with Stella Adler and is best known as an ensemble member of filmmaker Robert Downey Sr.’s legendary catalog of satirical films. The two most notable, Putney Swope and Pound, are avant-garde and shocking today, perhaps even more so than in the febrile artistic ground of the 1960s and 70s when they were created. In Pound, he was Robert Downey Jr.’s acting partner in the five-year-old’s first onscreen speaking role, Wolf’s anguished Mexican Hairless lamenting to Downey Jr.’s not-so-innocent puppy in a film in which clothed and unmasked humans play canines languishing in a dog lockup, waiting to be gassed that night
