Maria João

Most singers perform a song. Maria João takes it apart, rebuilds it, and hands it back unrecognizable and unforgettable. 

A voice that improvises like breath, breaks like free jazz, and lands like home. Born in Lisbon in 1956, Maria João has spent four decades bending jazz into folk, avant-garde and electronica — from her 1983 debut Quinteto Maria João to her long-running partnership with pianist Mário Laginha, and to OGRE, her electronic project. Her most recent album, Abundância, travels between Lisbon and Maputo, produced by Luís Fernandes.  

Liz Cracchiolo

Born: July 23

Liz Cracchiolo is a jazz vocalist and storyteller whose warm, luminous voice and magnetic stage presence have made her a standout in Southern Arizona’s music scene. Known as “the Bombshell Next Door,” she brings an intimate, emotionally direct style to her performances, blending vulnerability, wit, and sophistication while drawing audiences deeply into each lyric.

Originally trained in musical theatre at the University of Arizona, Cracchiolo built a foundation onstage with roles in productions including Les Misérables, The Producers, and Mamma Mia!. She later explored cabaret through a creative partnership with Broadway performer and vocal coach Ellyn Marsh, leading to New York performances at The Duplex and Laurie Beechman Theatre. Her theatrical background continues to shape her approach to jazz, pairing a storyteller’s sensitivity to lyrics with a love of improvisation and musical conversation.

YenTing Lo

Born: May 17

YenTing Lo is a jazz singer-songwriter, pianist, flutist, and producer from Kaohsiung. A graduate of the Conservatory of Amsterdam specializing in jazz, YenTing's imaginative composition and poetic lyrics earned her Golden Indie Music “Best Jazz Album Award” for her albums Epiphyllum (2019) and The 13th Heron (2020), also listed as New & Notable on Bandcamp’s frontpage, as well as “Best Lyrics” in Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music for her live EP Land forms (2024). YenTing has performed widely in genres including jazz, pop, folk and classical on stages across Taiwan, as well as internationally in Japan, Australia and all over Europe. 

Mimi Patricia Snider

Mimi Snider, Jazz Vocalist, Percussion-Trained

NEW CONCERT celebrating musical conversations that crossed oceans, cultures, and generations and traces the rich and often overlooked exchanges occurring between the late 1800s through to the early 1950s that helped shape American jazz. Through the waterways and highways connecting Cuba, Mexico, New Orleans, New York City musicians from these locations and American musicians shared rhythms, melodies, sounds, and ideas in an increasingly rich musical way.

Co-produced her most recent single digital release “Reach Out For Me/This Girl’s In Love” (2012). Jazz interpretation of "Reach Out For Me" arranged with "This Girl's In Love" created with a slow and easy entrance, building to a funk groove with Bob Murphy (B3 Hammond), Jennifer Scott (Werlizter), Randall Stoll (drums), and Rene Worst (bass). Danny Sinoff

Born: August 23, 1981

Danny Sinoff is a jazz pianist, singer, and bandleader who has spent more than 20 years performing the Great American Songbook in clubs, concert halls, and restaurants throughout Southwest Florida and beyond.

A working musician in the truest sense, he has played thousands of nights, the bandstand being his truest and most longstanding teacher.

He has performed and recorded with tenor saxophonist and flutist David “Fathead” Newman, bassist and trombonist Chris Brubeck, drummer Dan Brubeck, organist Jimmy McGriff, guitarists Russell Malone and Paul Bollenback, drummers Joe Farnsworth, Herlin Riley, and Ulysses Owens Jr., trumpeter and vocalist Benny Benack III, tenor saxophonist Jerry Weldon, bassist Ben Wolfe, and trumpeter Joe Magnarelli.

Mit „Equilibrio“ (GLM Music) machen sich die drei Musikerinnen auf die liebevolle Suche nach Gleichgewicht und balancieren darin unterschiedlichste Stile und Stimmungen behutsam aus.

Diese Ausgewogenheit schöpft aus einer reichen Vielfalt. Isabella Isherwood

Isabella Isherwood is a Chicago-based jazz vocalist, pianist, and actor. Critic Neil Tesser writes, “Her range includes thrilling low notes, a middle register that resonates warmth, and ghostly obbligatos to enhance an arrangement. In our atmosphere of deep fakes and broken trust, her unadorned reading cuts the fog like a quavering beacon.”

Isherwood has shared her artistry on stage and screen both across the United States and internationally. Notable performances include appearances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Center and Ravinia, performances with her quartet at the Chicago Jazz Festival, and three concert tours throughout Europe.

New York–based jazz singer and songwriter Marcus Goldhaber is a Hot House Magazine and BroadwayWorld.com nominee for Best Male Vocalist , as well as a MAC Award nominee for Best Song .
