His influences include Ottmar Liebert, Craig Chaquico, Jesse Cook, Phil Keaggy Jose Feliciano, and David Gilmour.

Greg Ernst

Guitarist Greg Ernst is a native Oregonian who began playing guitar at age 12. Early on, he was drawn to original music. Greg earned a Bachelors Degree in music (he also holds a doctorate)and has studied with guitarist Howard Roberts, bassist Gary Peacock, composer John Cage, arranger Robert McVey and others. In the 70's and 80's, Greg taught music at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, and was a busy performer, studio musician, and bandleader. Greg’s powerful technique and deep artistic sense set him apart from other guitarists.

Carl Morgan

Australian guitarist Carl Morgan spent the first 18 years of his life in the rural village of Central Tilba, on the NSW South Coast, picking up the guitar at the age of 9. After completing high school, Carl attended the Australian National University in 2006-09, graduating with a Bachelor of Music. He was awarded the Peter and Lena Karmel anniversary award for the most outstanding graduate at the ANU School of Music. Danny Petroni

As guitarist Danny Petroni explains The Blue Project, his band and its self-titled first release, began as a reaction to hurricane Sandy. Work for Jersey Shore musicians was sparse after Sandy’s devastation: “Gigs cancelled, venues damaged, all music productions stopped in the immediate area.” Petroni’s idea was to create some work for local musicians with a locally produced blues record using his own original compositions. “The Danny Petroni Blue Project was born.”

He put together a rocking ensemble featuring the gritty vocals of Frank Lacy, who also plays some mean trombone, along with Gary Oleyar on violin, Gene Boccia on bass, Dave Halpern on drums, and a gaggle of talented guest locals

Stephen Blum was also honored by the San Francisco Bay Jazz Society by a unanimous vote to perform with his own group at the Milestones Jazz Club, one of the city’s top performance venues.
